4 Bridges Arts Festival
Organized by the Association for Visual Arts (AVA), the 4 Bridges Arts Festival is a premier juried fine art festival held annually at the First Horizon Pavilion. The festival also features a Preview Party, providing an exclusive first look at the artists’ creations.
Between the Bridges – Local Arts Festival
Also hosted by AVA, the Between the Bridges festival is dedicated exclusively to Chattanooga-area artists. Held in Coolidge Park, this two-day event features approximately 50 local artists, including a special Potters Alley curated in partnership with Scenic City Clay Arts. It’s an excellent opportunity for artists to connect with the community and for attendees to support local talent.
Chattanooga Festivals of Black Arts & Ideas
The Chattanooga Festivals of Black Arts & Ideas (CFBA&I) are a series of ongoing festivals celebrating Black artists in disciplines such as music, dance, theatre, visual arts, film, and literature. Events include the Juneteenth Festival, Legacy Music Festival, August Wilson Playmakers Festival, and more. These festivals provide platforms for emerging and established artists of African descent to showcase their work and engage with the community.
Legacy Music Festival
As part of the CFBA&I, the Legacy Music Festival offers a stage for Black musicians in Chattanooga, acknowledging the underrepresentation many talented performers face in local events. The festival spans various genres, including classical, reggae, rock, hip-hop, soul, R&B, gospel, and country. Performers are encouraged to include music from genre trailblazers in their sets, honoring the profound influence of Black musicians throughout history.
CultureFest
CultureFest is an annual event that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of Chattanooga through arts, food, dance, and live music. Local ethnic organizations display cultural artwork, offer food samples and cooking demonstrations, and share global customs. The festival provides activities for the entire family, allowing attendees to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of Chattanooga’s diverse communities.
Fire Up the Fields
Hosted by Sculpture Fields at Montague Park, Fire Up the Fields is an electrifying annual celebration of art, music, and community. The event features live music performances, local food trucks, and fully stocked bars under the stars. The highlight of the evening is the burning of a larger-than-life sculpture created by a renowned artist, transforming the park into a glowing canvas that blends artistry and fire.
